If the fishing is good this parking lot is at least half full.

Couple of pictures of the river.

Got one fish to the net, one on and two strikes, not too much wind. It was an enjoyable day.

Just a point of interest: Ruby Creek BLM Campground is 698 miles from the Big House and I walked 781 miles last year. As of May 17, 2026 I am at 341.0 miles for 2026.
It was cold inside the coach this morning. The wind blew hard all day but has stopped for a nice quiet evening.

We got a couple of inches of snow last night. We did put the slides in yesterday evening so no worries about snow build up on the slide toppers.

41 inside – 29 outside

The door was frozen closed and took a little pushing to get it open.

This is all about Montana in the Spring.
Went for a 4.4 mile walk and took some pictures.

Started snowing at 5:00 and may get a couple of inches tonight.

The goal today was to get the new fuel pump installed on the generator and hopefully that will fix the problem.

I took this picture to have a record of the part number E11015. The best part of the project is it fixed the generator, it started right and running really great. I had just replaced this pump a couple of years ago.

We had some visitors today. These just drive Marley crazy.
Good day, no fishing but it’s nice to have the generator which makes it easier to use the microwave.

We have some cool weather coming in for the next several days.
Got out and did some fishing today, did have a single bite.
It was really windy last night, had to have both slides in all evening and all night. Today was not as strong but did make fishing a challenge keeping the fly out of the brush.
The coach generator quit running the other day and I think it’s the fuel pump. Was able to order one from Amazon and have it shipped to the local furniture store / UPS drop off. It came in today and I’ll install it tomorrow.
Here are a few pictures from today.

This eagle was flying up and down the river for a while this afternoon. You can barely see it in the center of the second picture.
I am going to take my first river float trip next Thursday. The weather is supposed to cool off a bit and the river should clear up by Thursday. Looking forward to it.
It has been a stormy day, a lot of wind and we had just a little rain. Lot of thunder showers around us.

Sometimes it rain was all around us.

May have some snow in the coming days after a 84 degree day today.

The wind was blowing out the propane refrigerator so I taped a gallon ziplock bag to the outside of the vent.

Marley spent the day thinking about groundhogs.

Picked up the ground mat late this morning, large slide came in mid afternoon and bedroom late afternoon. The wind won.
It is currently 10:00 pm and the wind is still kicking up. This is a nice place. We are the only ones in this loop with two people in the other loop.
New view today, moved 8 miles down river for two weeks. Got our favorite site #15, only one other site is in use.

Saw 18 antelope on the way in to the campground.

Another nice sunny day, mid seventies.

Same campground and Madison River pictures.

Our coach is the one on the left.

I walked one of campsite loops which was closed a long time ago. You can see another closed loop just below the one I walked. Nether of these loops have been open since we have been coming here.
