Dreamcatcher RV Park – Deming, NM – Friday November 5, 2021

Today is moving day, Rockhound was booked for the weekend so we moved into Deming at the Escapees RV Park. It is not much more than a place to stay. All gravel with highway I-10 noise all night and at least two trains during the night.

We did get some laundry for so that will get us back to the big house.

Today’s drive, 12 miles.

Phone will not upload this post, I’ll take the pictures out and than upload each picture one at a time. Had go back and start all over again, text would not upload.

Rockhound State Park, Deming, NM – Monday, November 1, 2021

After two weeks at Caballo SP it is moving day. We are going 80 miles south to Rockhound State Park 10 miles south of Deming New Mexico. This is a unique place setting on the side a hill which at one time had a lot of geodes on it. Our site has a beautiful view out across a large flat open desert area. We are on site 23. We were here back in 2014 on our first long retirement trip.

This is where we have traveled this trip.

Caballo State Park – T or C, NM – Tuesday October 19, 2021

This is why we moved south.

At Cochiti the forecast is:

A couple of hundred miles south

Home on wheels we might as well be warm. In previous years we would travel without reservations or a day or two ahead. This year I set down while at Cochiti and made reservations through the middle of November when we have to start looking at the weather in the California mountains.

Caballo State Park – T or C, NM – Monday October 19, 2021

This blog is going up a little at a time. I wrote it once and it would not upload, that usually means something is wrong with one of the pictures. I’ll do the text then go back and upload the pictures.

This is our drive south looking for warmer weather.

We have been here several times before and enjoy the large sites. Currently plan to stay for two weeks and will be in three sites. The first one is site 30 until Friday.

Cochiti Lake CG and – Saturday October 16, 2021

We moved to site 64 today. It has been cold the last few days and we have used more propane than we usually do this time of year. Moved to a site with electricity so we will not run out of propane.

I spent a lot of time today mapping out the remaining days of this outing. We need to be back at the big house by November 22. Camp grounds are busier than past years and weekends are a significant challenge. I think I have a plan for every day except November 5 & 6.

Cochiti Lake CG and Dam – Monday October 11, 2021

This campground is 50 north of Albuquerque and a good place to get some sleep and decide where to go next. In site 39 with no electric and freezing at night. I did something wrong when I tried to book a site a couple of months ago. It looked to me as if I could not book a site after September 30. When we got here the host said the reservation system ends on October 15, oh well.
