Gooseneck State Park, UT – Saturday September 28, 2019

We drove over to Monument Valley this morning and did a little shopping. Didn’t find very much most of the individual stands at the entrance to Monument Valley were closed/empty. A lady at one of the shops said the vendors and the management who is running the building are not getting along and the management company has locked out most of the venders. We didn’t stay at Monument Valley very long, the wind was coming up and I did not close the slides on the coach before we left.

Here are some Gooseneck State Park pictures:

Fishing:
While we were in Montana this Spring my wading boots were wet the whole month and a half we were there. When we got to the big house I made some 12 volt boot driers.

This is where I put them when I wanted to dry them.

Monument Valley – Wednesday September 14, 2011

We are at Monument Valley today.

We usually camp the Navajo visitor’s center on the edge of the valley.  However, the weather is calling for continued afternoon and night time thunder shows.  I am concerned that open area will turn into mud and we could get stuck so we are staying in the Goulding RV park.
At 5:30 a thunder shower did come through, looking at a few of the pictures I took I think we did the right thing.
This is the water running off the awning after only a couple of minutes.
Water just starting to run under the motor home, at the height of the rain is was a sheet of water running under the whole motor home.

This is the water running down the road, think it was 3-4 inches deep.

We are on a hill side so all the water has run off, at 6:15 it look dry enough to go out and grill some steaks.     Be home in a couple of days.  Harry, Jean and Hank
