Zion Natl Park – Tuesday May 28, 2013

First night of vacation, rest stop just north of Eugene Oregon. Left home at 5:00 on Thursday.

We got to Richard & Vicki’s at the regular time 6:30. Had great time Friday and Saturday getting to see Richard’s 65 Chevy pickup and his talent of making really cool men out of train rail spikes.
We left Sunday morning at 7:00 and got to Cedar City, Utah at 8:00 pm 526 miles. It was a nice drive across Nevada, east on 50 and south on 93. Spent he night in a Home Depot parking let next to Walmart.
Got to Zion in an hour and set up in site B44 right on the river.
This is my birthday/father’s day gift from TA, I’m going to make sure it gets a lot of usage this year and in the future.
Note the rain fly in the middle of the sun cover. Yes on the assembly instructions it’s called a rain fly.

It even has it’s own cooler, the bad picture above shows it from the side with the last picture showing the inside.

Started this on my cellphone and updating it from my IPad. I got a phone app which makes my phone a wiFi hotspot.

That’s it for today my glass is empty.

Fort Flagler – Saturday April 27, 2013

Got here about 8:45 last night and only three sites were still open. This is site 72 with no power.

Camp site picture will not post :-(.  Got an android WordPress update the other day, updates are not always a good thing.)

Sunday morning.
Got the picture problem fixed. So I’ll continue. I got another WordPress update Saturday.

That is site 72 way up in the trees. After Wait Wait Don’t Tell me Hank and I left for our regular Saturday morning walk. We walked out of the trees and found three front row sites open. We moved to site 112.

The park remained mostly full with at least 5 sites open the rest of the day. Couple more people left and couple showed up.

One of my projects before vacation was to create steering reminders so I don’t forget thinks when we move. Like the time last fall when we spent the night at a truck/rest stop and I forgot to put the bedroom slide in BEFORE we started to leave. I usually walk around the outside of the motorhome before we move however this time I didn’t.

Here are the pieces of Velcro I put on the steering wheel so I don’t forget. They are things like are the leveling jacks up, Hanks rope picked up, thermometer picked up, etc.
It rained most of the night and has been pretty wet this morning.

Fort Flagler – Saturday March 16, 2013

Here is view from my chair. We got here at 8:50 p.m last night.
This pic is from last week when it was warm and sunny.  The flies agree with my choice of wine.
Hank & I went for walk after Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me.  It’s 1:30 raining hard.

These are screen shots from Google My Track.  Says it will upload to Google drive for storage, however the only thing I see on Google Drive is a map of the area and not the track we walked.

Here is the campsite picture:
For those who are counting today is 39 years from March 16, 1974. It also rained HARD that day.
