Springville, UT – Sunday September 4, 2011

We left Massacre State Park at 10:30 and headed south.  Stopped at Golden Spike Natl Historical Site in Promontory, Utah for three hours.  They had the steam engines out today and I got a bunch of pictures.  We are in Springville just south of Salt Lake for the night.  Get to Zion tomorrow.  In keeping with taking a picture of all our campsites, here’s where we are tonight.

Massacre State Park, ID – September 3, 2011

Staying connected to the world, Saturday morning: coffee, Bailey’s, Andes chocolate and Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me via satellite setting out in the middle of no where in my motorhome.  This is why I work all year.

7:00 p.m.

Tethering my phone to the laptop. This makes it much easier to edit this blog.   I’m going to make an effort to post a picture of very campsite from here on out.  I have figured out how to upload pictures from my phone to DropBox and than when I can get to my laptop I’ll be able to have more than one picture per post in the blog.  The WordPress app I have for my phone will only allow one picture per post.

The concussion I got last Friday must be getting better, I only drank a half bottle of wine for dinner.  Jean thinks it is a side affect that I only drink half a bottle, it was a nice cab.

It has been a nice day, Hank and I went for a walk this morning and haven’t done a lot the rest of the day.  We’ll leave here tomorrow and head south toward southern Utah.  We hope you are having a Great day, we are.  Harry

Vacation – Friday September 2, 2011

First day of fall vacation.  We left home yesterday at 5:00 pm and drove until 11:15 to a rest spot along the Columbia River I-84.  Today we slept in and did not hit the road until 6:30 am.   We are now at Massacre Rock State Park in south east Idaho. We got here at 6:30. It is clear and warm.  We drove 560 miles today all in sun shine.  Will be here tomorrow and leave for Zion Sunday morning.  We’ll get to Zion on Monday.

Trying to attach Cardio map tracking to my blog.

After hike log into WorkSmartLabs.com/cardiotrainer across the top of the hike track is an export kml on laptop the export file will go to download folder,  “CardioTrainer_2011-07-23T17-45-17Z”

On the droid phone it will also go into download folder, press and hold on the file and instructions will come up to send the file to the Dropbox folder.

in the download folder (or in dropbox) double click this file, it will open google earth

do a save   image  as jpeg

Save these pictures in Dropbox

Now you can insert the image into workpress.

By the way this was 6.6 miles round trip, Hanks feet were sore when we got back.  On Sunday we’ll take a short walk.
