Really enjoyable game.

And we won.
Today we got a new awning and slide topper rollers.
We replaced the awning before it failed. It was starting to some small wear point holes but what I was really concerned about was the small area between the coach and the awning’s metal cover. It was a place where moss would grow on the awning material and the fabric would eventually fail.

Brian and I replaced the slide toppers this winter and on the way down here last month I noticed the rollers were not rolling round.

Here is why, the caps are made of a rather soft metal the once round hole is now an oval. I found replacements on EBay for $140.00 a slide. The awning folks would replace them for $250.00 a slide, I decided it was worth the $100.00 each to have it done. It even seemed like a better deal when one of the spring loaded end caps got away from one of the installers and just nicked a finger.
Miss you Hank,
To start with, Jack has grown since he got this bubble making lawn mower from
Aunt Tine for his birthday in July.

Today’s baseball was Mariners future players game. Some triple A players but mostly double A and below. Tickets were a dollar and a Spring Season Ticket holder they were free.

It was sunny and warm.

Night game
No line up chart today. It’s a night game and at 5:00 it was raining in Goodyear and Peoria with a forecast of rain all evening. We whimped out and stayed home.
They ended up being able to play and we lost 5 – 1 against Kansas City Royals.

Yes we lost 16 – 2, Flex had a bad fourth inning. He now has a Spring Training ERA of 15+ and in an interview the other day he seemed pissed he was not pitching on opening day in Japan.

With the screen up this year the plays have not been able to sign balls and hats over the dugout, here is Flex giving it a try. Don’t work, could not get things under the screen.

Lost 3 – 9.

Lost 4 – 7
