My Life and Travels
Long day started in the wind with possible snow at 6:30 am and got to the dry desert of Boron, CA at 7:30 pm 610 miles. We are at the east rest stop on Hwy 50 in Boron.

Stopped early today the weather south of the Siskiyou’s is windy, restriction on high profile vehicles. We will get up early and head south they are talking about snow at the pass after 10:00 am.
Today’s campsite; Southern Oregon County RV Park, site F5.

7:30 pm update; News said the weather in Medford and Siskiyou is going to get cold and all this rain is turning to snow for the next two weeks. Left Medford at 5:30 and got to the rest stop in Weed at 7:00. The drive was fine, had some good head winds the last 10 miles. Their is a flashing yellow sign at the rest stop saying that Hwy 97 from Weed north to Oregon is closed to RV’s and vehicle with trailers. We are on I5. Weather dot com says the wind will drop down in the morning so I think we leave at first light. It is much easier to drive in the wind when it is light out.
Left the big house at 10:30 and got to a rest stop by Cottage Grove at 5:30. Most of the rest stops south of here are small and will fill up fast after dark.
It is time to move into our small house and head toward the sun, warmth and baseball.
We have spent parts of the last couple of days getting ready for our Sunday departure to the Phoenix area for the month of March. We will be at White Tank Mountain Regional Park from the 23rd through the 28th and move to Goodyear on March 1st.
I have done a few things to the small house since we got to the big house in November.
We will be towing the pickup this year so that entails a few additions: new canopy, towing base plate, braking system along with tail & running light system. I also put in a new water pump with hopes it will take care of the water system over pressurizing itself. The last thing we did was new tires on the motorhome, we should be good to go for another 50 – 60,000 miles.
We will be back to the big house for Easter, then on to Yellowstone in May with a month of fishing in Montana on the Madison river in June, to the Garcia’s for Jack’s birthday and back to the big house in July. We have some great travel planned for this year.
Today is the last day of our fall trip.
First we had to move to a site by the road to dump the holding tanks.
Then we were on the road.
The pass was a little if’y so we drove around.
This pictures shows how the InReach track looks better once I upload the data inside the unit.
This is our track for the fall trip.

Spending several days with the Garcia’s
Today’s travel:

InReach did not transmit the last 30 minutes, don’t know why.
We are in site 55 at Columbia Sun RV Resort.
The sewer connection is white dot on the ground below the front storage door. It would take 30 feet of sewer hose to reach it, we carry 20 feet.

Say goodbye sandals, at least until February.
Hank having a good sleep.
Today’s drive:

We have stayed here many nights on our way home from vacation. Usually drive home from here however this year we are going to visit the Garcia’s for a couple of days.
Today’s drive:

Nice quiet rest stop out in the middle of no where.
We are again on the Virgin River while heading north.

Today’s drive 435 mile, Friday 280 to Ely, NV, Saturday 409 to Ontario,OR and Sunday 250 to Richland. I know 435 miles in a day and you are retired? Some days my old type A personality can not control itself and I want to get to Richland on Sunday to visit Jack.
We are in site 71 a pull through. Pictures don’t want to up load so I will try tonight.
