Cleaned and put seal conditioner on slide seals. Did the same for all the storage doors, cleaned seal with protect-all cleaner and than put protect-all on all the seals.

High for the day 77.
Did some metal detecting around the area today, found a key, nickle, penny and a lot of melted aluminum. Hank and I went for a couple of walks, around the airstrip and in the evening along the river trail.
We are here for another week. This is a really nice home away from home. Only had a few high clouds during the day and cleared off after dark. One other group a quarter mile up the runway. We are camped in our same spot. The high was 78 degrees.

We came home today, plan is to go hiking on Thursday and to a family play on Saturday.

Mostly around camp all day, not a lot of motivation and it was a nice weather day. High was 79. Worked on blog pictures for a couple of hours.
Listened to several hours of the NPR’s TED Radio Hour.

Morning inside temp 51 and outside temp 43.
Hiked with Dennis to Lake Eleanor and then on to Grand Park meadow inside Mt. Rainier Natl Park.
Started at 12:30 back to trail head at 5:00 traveled 8 miles and I was tired. Nice hike on a beautiful sunny day.
The mountain was clouded in by the time we got to Grand Park but that is what living here is all about, clouds and rain. Mt. Rainier actually makes it’s own climate around itself. The entire Pacific Northwest was clear yesterday except for the area around right around the mountain.

Morning inside temp 56 and outside temp 49.
Some blue sky and the ground is starting to dry.
Dennis and I went for a hike today. Drove down to Camp Shephard trail head and hiked the Snoquera Falls trail about 5 miles (Fitbit distance).
My InReach did not get a good location fix at the trail head, when we got to the falls it had only posted two locations. We were in tall large timber. It did this once before while we were driving and when I up loaded the data the complete track was posted to the mapping program. We will see what happens when I get home. InReach only had the track from the falls out, not the first half of the hike.
Remember we have no internet and only Jean’s phone will get texts while setting at the passenger side window. On the trail today when were above Camp Shephard Dennis had four bars of 3G.
I got stung by a bee, I can not remember the last time I got stung by a bee.

Morning inside temp 68 and outside temp 58, overcast – weather report calls for rain late today’s and tomorrow then back to sun on Sunday.
Started raining around 4:00 p.m. and we had a good rain until 8:30 p.m., not much rain overnight.
Roberta and Dennis got here at 1:00 and parked in the site across from us.
Watched the Seahawks first pre-season game, lost to Denver 22 to 20 with our third string quarterback. Wilson ran the first two series and the backup QB was injured before the end of the first quarter.

Morning inside temp 61 and outside temp 54.
The sky did clear last night however I did not see any meteors out my bedroom window. I had decided if I could see any out my window I would get up and go outside for some pictures, didn’t happen.
Had a lot of company today: Ryan and Zach – on their way to 0hanapecosh for Ryan’s birthday camp out; then Dennis stopped by while out looking for a place to camp with his new trailer.
Two small helicopters came in late in the afternoon, two fuel trucks, two US government SUV’s and a Muckleshoot Indian pickup. I walked down and talked to one of the fuel truck guys, he said they were here to count elk. He was with the private helicopter and the other one was a National Parks helicopter. Muckleshoot tribe bought a bunch of Hancock forest area several years ago and they have it open to fall hunting.
We stayed up until 12:30 in hopes of seeing more meteors tonight, only saw two in 10 minutes so we went to bed.

Morning inside temp 63 and outside temp 55.
We had some rain last night, I could see the sky light up and than several seconds later the thunder so it was hitting a ways from here. The sky has a lot of high smoke in it today. The sun light is orange.
The side of our motorhome is white with today’s light it is a light orange.
Had light ash falling all day.
