We moved here waiting for the Balloon Fiesta to start next week. We will move to Albuquerque on Tuesday October 2nd it is about 50 miles. We stayed here for a couple of days after the 2016 fiesta and it seemed like a good place to be before Albuquerque. The way the fiesta RV area is set up once you get there you cannot move so it is a good idea to arrive with empty black and gray tanks and full of propane and water. This park has water and a dumps site.

I’ll add campsite pictures from Ipad. Site 43.

First balloons of the fiesta taken from the couch.

Tomorrow is the official start of the fiesta and the weather forecast is for perfect weather.
See Richard I even got the one with the 50 amp boost.
I did being the extra connectors I got with the solar panel so I was able to connect the alligator clamps from the charger to clamps that came with solar panel and thus plug into the solar panel connection.
All set to go, when I started the generator the internal charger started working. I am ready when it decides not to work again.
The drive today.
We are at the south RV parking with the Escapees Boomer’s group. I think we will have 50 RV’s here for the event.
We are in site B48C-1 right on the edge of what is called the BOX. This is one of the landing sites south of the takeoff field. Last year we saw a bunch of balloons land in this BOX area.
View out the front window.
Here I am standing in front of the Motorhome looking toward the launch field. Balloons should rise from behind the building on the right side of this picture.
Our campsite, pretty level on a hard seal coat road surface. This area is an old garbage dump.

Maps of today’s drive. We are at Cochiti COE Campground south of Santa Fe.

Drove through the campground to find a site and then dumped the holding tanks, after 9 days they were full.

We are in site 7, power but no water.
We went to another site to get water. I have been carrying an extra water hose since we got this motor home, today was the first time I have used it. All the water was up on the hill above the sites on the inside of the loop.
Almost made it, needed several more feet.

Friday night was also an evening glow, however we focused on Star Wars.
Characters kind of marched onto the field. They then spent time taking pictures with the people on the field.

One of the glow balloons.
Two people in our group helped a team inflate their balloon.
This balloon has four tanks of propane.
