nice fish on, let him run down stream, I walked down to the slack water by the island – he stopped and held in the slack water, increased the pressure on the line to get him to move and the line went slack as he got unhooked ☹

only one person camped at Palisades
Nice day, got out for a 3 mile walk and some sunshine. The river has cleared some.
Tomorrow we move five miles up the river to Palisades CG for 3 or 4 days.
Will not have any internet but should have texting on Jean’s phone.
No fishing today, the water is dirty and it is going to rain all day.
Yesterday after I wrote the post I went outside to check on things and almost got blown over, wind was 50+.
Here is tonight’s forecast;

Yesterday’s post ended up taking almost an hour to get it to actually post, oh well.

You cannot see the wind but it is blowing 20-35 mph all day. Blowing so hard I had to be careful it didn’t blowing my glasses off. The slides have been in all day and will be that way tonight.
The river is pretty dirty here but not to bad up at Three Dollar Bridge. 100% chance of rain tomorrow so we’ll see it goes, wind is supposed to be down 83° today 53° tomorrow.
We moved looking for more fish. We had ZERO cellphone while we were on the Big Hole River, it was a great place and I will go back and fill in the blog.
Today’s drive
I could not get the window on the left to close, touch screens can be a challenge.
We are in the same site as last year, starting June 17, 2018.
Current plan is to fish this area until June 24th.
Sunny in the morning, looks like it is going to thunderstorm later.
Dime / marble size hail at 11:30 a.m.
Went fishing in the afternoon, had to come back, wind and looked like rain.
River still at 3000 cfs.
Big rain and wind storm in the afternoon, camphost said this was the largest wind storm they had seen in the 5 years they have been host here.
No fishing during the day.
Small caddis hatch this evening, had to quit fishing because of rain storm coming, got inside just in time.
Fished up river today, saw first Caddis this afternoon, slow fishing did not have a strike. River way up from June 12, 2017 1400 cfs and today it is 3000 cfs.
Really miss Hank, this is the three month anniversary of his death.
