Palisades, Montana – Saturday June 1, 2024

Yesterday I had a good day fishing just above the boat ramp. Had two fish on and nothing to the net. Got several miles of walking in and enjoyed the sunshine and very little wind.

Overall it was a great birthday and looking forward to next year’s as well.

EDIT
Saturday June 1, 2024 at 8:45 p.m. Palisades BLM campground.
This is an edit from the Chromebook I bought to use for fly tying videos. I mostly just wanted to know that I could do it. So, now I am officially using window os, apple iphone os and Chromebook os to create this website/blog with WordPress via Starlink satelites.

Palisades, Montana – Friday May, 31, 2024

If I could save time in a bottle
The first thing that I’d lke to do
Is to save every day
‘Til eternity passes away
Just to spend them with you

If I could make days last forever
If words could make wishes come true
I’d save every day like a treasure and then
Again, I would spend them with you

But there never seem to be enough time
To do the things you want to do
Once you find them
I’ve looked around enough to know
That you’re the one I want to go
Through time with

If I had a box just for wishes
And dreams that had never come true
The box would be empty
Except for the memory of how
They were answered by you

But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do,
Once you find them
I’ve looked around enought to know
That you’re the one I want to go
Through time with

Still working at relearning how to post to my blog at harrylange.com. It has been a long time and now I am adding a Chromebook to the mix of operating systems I am using. I bought a Chromebook to be able to carry fly tying videos when we are traveling in a small compact screen. I looked at an Ipad Pro (the new one) with 2Tb of storage and it was just to much money for tying flies.

So lets see if I can use Windows OS, Iphone OS, and Chrome OS and end up with posts about our travels.

Picture of our campsite.

After I write this on the Chromebook I will publish it and then go to my Iphone and put the picture or pictures into the post.

Ruby Creek, Montana – Friday, May 24, 2024

The snow is gone, at least in the campground and the wind is blowing. Still it was a good day.
I’m now learning to type on a Chromebook keyboard. At least I have figured out how to get into my website and get emails sent to harry@harrylange.com. I don’t know why however this keyboard feels a lot different from the Del keyboards I have been typing on for the last 10 years. The keys are really slippery and I am missing the correct key more often, Oh I just figured it out. One of my thumbs is touching the “Touch Pad” and thus moving the cursor around. Think I’ll start writing in Google Docs and then paste into this Blog. We’ll see how that goes. I have been a Microsoft Word person for so long it will just be another thing to learn.

This is where we are camped for a couple of weeks.

Ruby Creek, Montana – Wednesday, May 22, 2024

This morning we woke to wind and a winter weather advisory for tonight thru Thursday evening.

I am currently working on a work flow process of posting text to the blog from my laptop and then adding pictures from my phone. On the phone I’ll need to down size to pictures to save space and improve download speeds. I also need to relearn how to use WordPress to publish to my website harrylange.com. It has been a while and what I knew I’ve forgotten and WordPress has made many changes since I last posted to this blog.

Ruby Creek, Montana – Monday, May 20, 2024

We are traveling again and looking forward to fishing in Montana. WordPress which powers my website has made a lot of changes since I used it last and I have a lot to learn and relearn.

We woke to snow this morning and I took several pictures with my phone and now I need to learn how to:
1) make the picture file size smaller while they are on my phone.
2) learn how to get them from my phone to this website, that is taking a little doing.

We have updated our internet connection to Starlink and it is working pretty good at this point. The heater in the head came in handy to get the snow off of it this morning.

This is it for know, at this point I’m not sure I can figure out how to get this published. I think there will be a blank spot right after the header because i was going to publish a picture of the snow and I couldn’t get it off my phone to a place I could insert it here. Oh well, I’ll eventually figure it out.

Buckeye, AZ Sunday February 13, 2022

Last Sunday morning we had no water. My first thought was the water pump had frozen, it was 24 degrees during the night. Turned the heat on which also puts warm air into the lower storage area where the water tanks are located. After 20 minutes the water still had not started to run so I went outside to see what was still wrong.

We had no water with a small puddle under the coach. All the water in the take was gone, about 50 gallons. When I put in the expansion tank a couple of years ago I also put in a plastic drain value so I could drain more water out of the holding tank for winter storage. The value either failed or vibrated open. The small puddle was because most of the water had already evaporated.

The first thing I needed to do was get the valve out and fined something to block off the hose. I went through my tool box and found a plastic display fixture from a 1/2 in socket I bought a couple of years ago.

We got water at a place in Quartzsite that sells propane, water and sewer dumping. Water was $8.00 for 80 gallons.

This picture was taken after we had refilled the tank, you can see the water level at about 70 gallons.
