This is the same rest stop we spent two nights at on the trip south, other side of the road of course.
This is the campsite picture because I didn’t want to go outside and get my iPad wet to take a picture. Watched a little TV however kept loosing the signal because of the heavy rain.

Quartzsite, AZ – Thursday March 29, 2018
A HORRIBLE day, today was our first time we moved without Hank.
Not many people here this time of year, think it was 90 degrees today.

Hank – February 15, 2005 – March 20, 2018
Hank, we miss you.
Goodyear, AZ – Monday February 19, 2018
Updated the text for February 14 and 15.
Today we are in Goodyear for a month of baseball. The first game is this Friday February 23. This year will have more night games than any other previous year. Last year was two and this year is nine night games. The article I read said the goal is to increase attendance, on the average night games have 2000 more people than a day game.
Today’s drive:

Our site 386:
Same site as last year. The RV Parks business is improving, when I checked in I asked to made reservations for next year and she said I can not make reservations until “June or July” she wasn’t sure which month. They have been selling more manufactured homes and don’t want to tie up a site they could sell.
Quartzsite, AZ – Thursday February 15, 2018
At 8:10 this morning Range RV called and said they would be able to look at our brake right now, we were there in 5 minutes. Carlos pulled the front wheels and this time it was obvious the inside rotor seals were where the fluid was coming from. Carlos worked all morning and we backed out of Range RV at 12:15.
Drove across the street and back to coach up to the pickup, hooked up the tow bar and lights and we headed toward Quartzsite.

A lot more people here this year than last. We will be here until Monday Feb 19 when we move to Goodyear and our month of baseball.
Hesperia, CA – Wednesday February 14, 2018
This morning when I went out to check on our front end oil leak, it was back. I called the people who did the brakes and they were not at all interested in our problem. They did give me a name of shop in southern Cal. This shop could not look at the coach for 4 weeks, however they gave me the name and number of a shop in Hesperia, Ca (right next to Victorville, Ca). Range RV said he could at least look at the coach on Friday and there is a empty lot across the street from them where we could spend the night. We headed out on the 47 miles to Hesperia, Ca and Range RV (I really really like my GPS).
When we got to Hesperia we pulled into the empty lot and I went across the street to see Brian at Range RV to let him know we were there and be in his shop in a matter of minutes. I went back to the coach to unhook the pickup, I pickup’s transmission would not re-engage. So we where off the Victorville Ford dealership. Ford spent a lot of time trying to get a trouble code out of the transmission. They finally got the transmission engaged however now the system is working so no trouble codes. They would not take any payment for the time they had spent working on the truck. I went through the steps to disengage the transmission, the light on the Neutral Tow switch blink as it did it’s test procedure, the transmission dis-engaged and then went out, it is supposed to stay on. At this point the tech’s at the dealership hooked up another computer and got a test code for “Neutral Safety Switch” in the transmission. Again they would not take any payment for the time they had spent. Larry the service writing said at this point they could not look at the pickup until next week and any dealership I went to would change me for trouble shooting because they are not going to believe the last dealership. It is really to bad that one dealership can not talk to another and believe each other. Oh well, we can now tow the pickup to Goodyear and see about getting it fixed.
We drove back to Range RV, unhooked the pickup and settled in for a couple of days.

Boron, CA – Tuesday February 13, 2018
Today was the longest day of this trip 464 Miles which got us to the rest stop in Boron, Ca.
Their aren’t many good places to stop in southern Cal but this rest stop gets us into the high desert and has great places to part.
We got one of the island sites so we could have the bedroom slideout out.

Tomorrow we should be in the quiet desert of Quartzsite.
Forget to put the travel maps in:

The last one shows where we set for 30 minutes waiting for the island spot to open up. When not moving the InReach transmitter goes into an every 4 hour mode rather than every 10 minutes, moving 30 feet does not get it back into the 10 mode. I turned it off be it transmitted again.
