Internal Refrigerator Fan – 2012

Absorption refrigerators don’t have any internal area air flow system.  Starting at 95 degrees and above our refrigerator struggles to stay cold on electricity.  The gas side works fine so I decided to install small computer fans inside the refrig.

Fan size is: 

6 x 6 x 1.5 cm / 2.4″ x 2.4″ x 0.6

1800 ± 10% RPM;Air Flow : 60CFM;Noise : 23 db
The fans were $6.73 for the pair (amazon), scrap aluminum and wire, along with $3.99 for the lighted rocker switch.

I tapped into 12 volt power behind the refrigerator.

I try to label new wires for future reference, like next week when I cannot remember where this wire goes.
The on and off rocker switch is down on the floor.
The switch puts off so much light I covered the front face of the switch with black electrical tape
